You stared at the thermometer on the wall across from you in dismay as sweat dripped down the contours of your face, over the swell of your nose and falling down into the carpet. The red bar was all the way up to a whopping 98 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 36 degrees Celsius—and it certainly was obvious with the air conditioning in your house being broken. Ice skating. Whoever had invented the idea in terms of it being a "fun way to pass the time" was a complete and utter idiot. Stumbling around on the surface of a frozen lake on too-tight for comfort ice skates that squeezed and pinched your feet in the most uncomfortable way as you waddled around like a penguin was not your idea of fun. It was the complete opposite. It was horrendous, absolutely exhausting, humiliating, and just completely and utterly a waste of your valuable time. You squeak in excitement, dancing happily across the room to your beloved.  You iPod is playing on maximum volume, and you yourself are covered in paint from you head to your feet. That's what you get from making today an Art Saturday! It always ended up with color strewn across the walls and paint in your hair. But there were reasons for the special occasions… reasons involving your boyfriend.
